Tips for Organizing Your Bathroom

Bathrooms tend to get disorganized and messy pretty fast and since it`s often the least favorite room to clean, things can stay that way for quite a while! If your bathroom is organized and easy to clean, though, you`ll find that it stays that way. Here are some tips for keeping your bathroom neat and organized. • Use a large wicker basket to corral towels. Just roll them instead of folding and tuck upright into the basket. No more messy stacks and they are easy to grab. • Put cleaning supplies in a plastic bin to keep them all together. Just pull out the bin and move to where you need to clean. • Keep mildew at bay by wiping down the shower with mildew spray after your shower. You`re already there! • Once a month, go through everything and toss any outdated medicines or products, anything that is getting old or is unused. • Keep several extra garbage bags at the bottom of the garbage bin. This makes it very easy to simply take out the garbage and instantly replace the bag, without having to search for more bags. • Use cleaning tablets in your toilet tank. These work automatically to keep your bathroom smelling fresh and clean. • Assign a color to each person in the family. Their towel, toothbrush and washcloth should all be in their own color. This means towels can be reused and if you find one on the floor, you`ll instantly know who did it! • Put hooks on the back of the door for wet items like bathing suits. • Make it easy to get rid of dirty clothes by including a hamper in the bathroom. When someone goes to bathe, they can toss their clothes right in rather than leaving them on the floor. • Use a pump dispenser for soap. This keeps soap scum to a minimum and makes it easier to clean the sink. • Put daily use items in top drawers and less used ones in the bottom drawers. This means everything you use regularly such as deodorant and toothpaste is easiest to get at. Your bathroom will be far more inviting if you keep it organized. These tips will help you not only create a great environment in your bathroom, but also make it easier to keep the room neat and tidy, even if you have other family members messing it up.
